Tonight is the night! It's Pi Beta Phi's newest philanthropy event, Pi Phi's Burgers and Fries, which be held on the sorority's front lawn tonight, April 11th, from 5p.m. to 8p.m. Tickets are $7 at the door or from any Pi Beta Phi sorority girl.
There will be delicious food, burgers and fries, catered by Athens's very own Brett's Restaurant! The "YOUNG" Elvis Rockabilly Tribute Show with Blue Suede Entertainment will also be providing music and entertainment all night long. So come out to the Pi Phi lawn, rock to some Elvis, and eat some good old-fashioned American grub!
All proceeds from Pi Phi's Burgers and Fries will be donated to two organizations which promote Pi Beta Phi's philanthropy, literacy. The new event's funds will benefit the Jeanette Rankin Foundation, an organization that helps give scholarships to low-income women trying to further their education.
The rest of the money will go to the Pi Beta Phi Foundation, "an organization, committed to fund programs that promote the intellectual, ethical and leadership development of the members of Pi Beta Phi Fraternity and, through its philanthropic efforts, to benefit the larger society."
The front lawn of the Pi Beta Phi sorority house tonight will be hopping! So come on out to eat delicious Athens's burgers and listen to the King of Rock while also supporting a great cause!
