Although almost 4 months has passed since the terror-striking earthquake in Haiti, University of Georgia students continue to raise money and show their support for relief from the disaster. Days after the earthquake hit, volunteers and active university students formed the student volunteer team Dawgs for Haiti. It immediately pledged $50,000 to help with initial relief efforts. Through t-shirt sales and campaigns to raise money, Dawgs for Haiti met their goal in just 2 weeks!
Dawgs for Haiti has since pledged another goal of $50,000 for reconstruction and development efforts. So far $8,ooo has been raised, making total funds collected to this date $58,000.
The kind and active hearts of these university students have touched the lives of the earthquake victims in Haiti. The team's campaign is still ongoing and every contribution is appreciated. To donate to the cause please check out this website.
